Careers · Microsoft ERP · urgent vacancy

Business Central Consultant (m/f/d) — functional consulting across all modules.

This is the role we need to fill most urgently. You lead implementation and development projects on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on the functional side — from process discovery through the target concept and customising to go-live and the support that follows. We are deliberately looking for breadth across all modules rather than ownership of a single one: our customers are mid-sized firms where finance, purchasing, inventory and projects have to be thought about together.

What you will own

  • Functional project ownership for implementations and further development: process discovery, target concept, customising, data migration, testing, go-live, hypercare
  • Breadth across all modules: finance with fixed assets and cash management, sales and receivables, purchasing and payables, inventory and logistics, manufacturing, projects, service, dimensions and cost accounting, approval workflows
  • German localisation: GoBD-compliant processes, DATEV connectivity, electronic invoicing with XRechnung, ZUGFeRD and Peppol — together with our own E-Invoicing add-on
  • Integration and boundaries: interfaces to Microsoft 365, Power Platform and third-party systems; drawing a clean line between standard, configuration and AL extension, and agreeing it with our engineering team
  • Leading the customer: facilitating workshops, training key users, running acceptance, justifying decisions rather than demonstrating features
  • Contributing to our own solutions: Modular ERP and Inter Company on Microsoft Dataverse, where they border on Business Central

What you bring

  • Several completed Business Central or Dynamics NAV projects in functional ownership — project experience is a requirement for this role, not a wish
  • Solid experience across the modules: you can keep a finance topic and a logistics topic cleanly apart in the same workshop
  • Confidence with managing directors, accounting and the business side — even when the three want different answers
  • MB-800 or a comparable certification, or the willingness to earn it with us
  • A working understanding of AL and extensions, enough to judge the effort and maintainability of an extension
  • Excellent written and spoken German plus confident English — both are a requirement, including in the technical roles; French is a plus for our French-speaking markets
  • Direct customer contact is part of the role: you lead the conversations yourself and do so the way German B2B clients expect — dependable, clear, at eye level

Why now

Why we need this role filled urgently.

Plainly put: demand for Business Central projects has grown faster here than the team has. For you that is an opportunity rather than a warning sign.

01

The work is there, not still to be won

You do not start with prospecting but with projects waiting for someone. We will say openly which ones in the conversation — so you know what you are saying yes to.

02

You shape how we do Business Central

There is no entrenched methodology you have to fit into. You help shape the approach, the templates and the quality bar — and they stick, because we grow slowly and deliberately.

03

Next door to our own products

Alongside project work we build our own solutions on the Microsoft stack. If you want to, you bring your field experience straight into the product instead of only billing it.

  • A certification programme including MB-800
  • Direct contact with senior practitioners instead of being passed along layers
  • Hybrid model with a negotiable remote share, office in Offenbach am Main, immediate start possible

    How the selection process runs

Four steps from application to contract.

We deliberately keep it transparent. You know at all times where you stand — and we take the time to really get to know you, rather than filtering by CV checkboxes.

    01 · 30 min

    Preliminary call

By phone or video — we mutually clarify whether the role fits the person. No test assignments, no HR filter questions. You speak directly with someone from the practitioner team, not with a recruiter.

    02 · 60 min

    Technical interview

An in-depth conversation about the technical topics of your future role. For Microsoft positions, with a system demo; for Independent Engineering, with a code review of your own work; for the sales role, with a qualification and proposal case from our portfolio.

    03 · 60 min

    Team interview

You meet the team you would actually work with. We skip stress interviews — we want to see whether the working chemistry fits. Both sides can decline, both sides can raise concerns.

    04 · Contract

    Offer & start

Within a week of the team interview, you receive our written offer — or an honest rejection with reasons. We agree on the start date together, typically with 4–8 weeks of lead time.
